The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is a constitute Department of SMU, Humanities & Social Sciences is a multidisciplinary Department supposed to develop social science understanding and awareness among the students of this region as well as of other parts of India. The Department of H.S.S provides Regular courses in Humanities and Social Sciences like BA, B.Com, MA and M.Com.

BA in Arts course details

The course have been designed with an aim to train/teach the individual so that they can compete for jobs in Govt/Banks/MNCs. They may also continue their studies up to PhD in SMU.

Eligibility for the course:

An applicant must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream with 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC) marks in aggregate from recognized Board/ University.

Note: Aspirants also appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examinations are also eligible to apply.
