Re: Smart Study for IIT JEE
It is not very difficult to crack JEE exam if you plan your studies properly. Here I am telling you some best smart preparation tips for IIT JEE exam. IIT JEE Exam preparation tips Study at least 5 hours a day. Start with the subject which gives you your speed Accuracy is important Don’t spend more than 2-3 minutes in any problem Make sure that you mark the answers regularly after solving 10 questions. You have to regularly give mock tests in topic wise and cumulative formats. Never take JEE for granted. Work smart rather than hard. Learn from your mistakes. Study topics where you can improve your score most- Physics There are topics that are important but are missed by students such as Fluids, Modern Physics, SHM, Waves, Optics and Surface Tension. It takes one or two sittings of 2-2.5 hours each to revise these topics. Compare that to mechanics, which you must have studied for around 6-8 months, but keeping mind the marks distribution, it is not worth the effort. Also note that there is hardly any difference between Electrostatics and Gravitation. So if you have studied one, studying the other should not take any time. Focus on the concepts and revise the theory of topics such as Thermodynamics, Electric Current and Magnetism from the book that you have read them from. Mathematics Give this last priority as you cannot improve on mathematics overnight. The focus should be on topics where you can score better in. Individual cut-off is achievable if you have prepared decently. Here, the easy topics are coordinate geometry, more specifically Hyperbola and Ellipse. If you look at the pattern of an IIT JEE paper over the last 10-20 years, Mathematics has rarely been easy. Try to revise all the formulae of Trigonometry and in Algebra and Calculus just have a look at the solved examples of the book that you have studied from. Chemistry Two very important things that you should know: 1. Chemistry has the maximum effect your rank in IIT-JEE and 2. You can cover the maximum in this subject in the last few days. Most find do not spend time on inorganic chemistry as they find it boring although it constitutes 30-35 per cent of the questions asked in Chemistry. A must-read chapter is that of Co-ordination Chemistry and Transition Elements. Go through Chemical Bonding, especially the hybridisation theory. In physical chemistry, important chapters are: Chemical Kinetics, Radioactivity, Gas Laws, Energetics, Atomic Structure, Solutions, Surface Chemistry. In Organic Chemistry study isomerism, general organic chemistry properly. Study Carbohydrates, Amino Acids, Polymers. |
