The SMU CIRCLE AWARD is aimed at recognizing distinctive graduating students who have demonstrated the core CIRCLE values during their tenure of studies at SMU.

The Award will be presented at the SMU Commencement Ceremony.

Eligibility Criteria-

The award is open to students graduating each year who:

Have good academic achievements;

Have demonstrated by word and deed that they embody the SMU CIRCLE Values;

Embrace an all-round education by engaging in a broad spectrum of activities beyond the classroom such as:

Undertaking leadership responsibilities,

Participating in co-curricular activities,

Initiating and spearheading activities for the good of the community,

Active involvement in community service beyond the required 80 hours,

Contributing to SMU and the community at large; and

Are upright in character, socially responsible, well respected by peers, staff, and faculty, and display an ability to balance studies with co-curricular activities.

Quota

Up to two outstanding candidates from each school will be selected for the award based on a set of criteria.
