Terms of Use
Users of the SMU VPN services are to take note of the following terms of use.
Use of the SMU VPN is monitored. Its provision is solely to facilitate secured remote access to SMU’s internal computing and IT resources.
Users should not abuse the SMU VPN to access restricted or prohibited sites or download copyrighted materials or to use it in any way that runs contrary to the laws of any country.

The provision of the SMU VPN is for the legitimate use by SMU faculty and staff only.


Installing the VPN client on Mac OS

Obtain a copy of the Mac VPN Client installer from the ITSS Help Desk.
Double‐click on the forti clients slvpn_macosx_<version>.dmg file.
The Mac mounts the disk image as forti clients slvpn.

Double‐click the for clients slvpn.pkg file inside the disk image and follow
the instructions.

The application instal lst the program forti clients lvpn.app in the Applications
folder

Un mount the disk image by selecting thedisk image file
forti clients slvpn_macosx_<version>.dmganddragging it into the Trash.
