As you asking I am telling Southern Methodist University (SMU) Registrar plans and manages procedures for establishing and maintaining enrollment, adds/drops, and withdrawals as well as manages the preparation of class scheduling and class rosters within the various departments to ensure a successful start of the term.

Students desiring to withdraw from the University must initiate a Student Petition for Withdrawal / Cancellation form , secure approval from their academic dean, then the academic dean submits the form to the University Registrar.

The effective date of the withdrawal is the date the Student Petition for Withdrawal is processed in the University Registrar’s Office.
