Bachelor in Social Science programme

The BSocSc is a four-year meritorious honours programme.

The Bachelor in Social Science programme delivers a broad-based undergraduate education centred on the disciplines of Psychology, Sociology and Political Science.

The Bachelor in Social Science programme consists of a combination of coursework as well as opportunities for hand-on research supervised by faculty members.

Requirements-

Students are eligible to apply for enrolment in the double degree programme at the end of year 1 or year 2 if they meet the cumulative GPA of at least 3.40, and satisfy all prevailing requirements stipulated by the School

The curriculum also shares modules in common with other degree programmes at SMU, such as Foundation Courses, University Core, General Education, and Technology and Entrepreneurship.

Students are expected to complete a total of 36 course units and an Internship Programme.

Students must read a minimum of 3 courses and a maximum of 6.5 courses per term.

A student can opt to do a second major in any of the following:
