The eligibility required for M.Tech (Spot) Programmes offered by NIT (National Institute of Technology) Hamirpur is as follows: Eligibility for M.Tech./M.Arch (Spot/TEQIP-II/Sponsored) Programmes One must have a Bachelor Degree in Engineering/ Technology /Architecture/AMIE in appropriate discipline or a Master Degree in appropriate discipline with CGPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 60% marks in case of Open/OBC candidates in qualifying degree. For SC/ST candidates a CGPI of 6.0 on a 10-Point scale (or equivalent) or 55% marks in qualifying degree will be applicable. The admission is on the basis of valid GATE score in appropriate subject. In every programme only certain combinations of eligibility degree disciplines and GATE subjects are allowed. However, one sponsored from Govt. organization/institute are exempted from the requirement of valid GATE score. The DSC follow the criteria outlined in Section 2.3 in respect of such candidates. Admission Procedure – M.Tech./M.Arch (Spot Admission/TEQIP-II) (a) A candidate who has taken admission through CCMT and joined an institution will not be eligible for Spot admission. (b) Conversion from CGPI to percentage or vice versa given by individual institute will not be considered. The candidates are required to produce the following documents in original as well one copy thereof at the time of counselling/admission 1. Application Form 2. Four Colored Photographs 3. GATE Score Card 4. Class X (High School) mark sheet/certificate 5. Mark sheet of Class XII/Diploma 6. Grades/Mark Sheet of Qualifying Degree 7. Degree Provisional Certificate 8. Course Completion Certificate (if degree is not completed) 9. Photo ID proof 10. Category Certificate (OBC/SC/ST) [OBC Certificate must be issued 11. Undertaking in required format (for OBC Candidates Only) 12. Certificate of Persons with Disability (for PWD Category) |
