UNIT II (15 Hours)

R.P. Phonemes – Identification and Classification – Vowels, Diphthongs and
Consonants.
Transcription Exercises.
Accent – Rhythm in connected speech – Kinds of Accent
Intonation – Falling tone and Rising tone.
