Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC – CGL) for enlistment to various Central Civil posts - Assistant/Inspector/SI/Divisional Accountant/Statistical Officer/Auditor/Accountant/Junior Accountant/UDC/Tax Assistant/Compiler, for which Graduation from a perceived University is the base Educational Qualification required. The enrollment for these posts is done in bureaus of Central Secretariat Service/Central Vigilance Commission/Intelligence Bureau/Ministry of Railways/Ministry of External Affairs/Ministry of Defense/CBI and a couple of different Ministries/Departments/Organizations of the Central Govt. Qualification Criteria (i) Age: (a) Statistical Investigator Gr II : Max 32 years (b) Assistant Section Officer/SI in CBI : 20 - 30 years (c) Assistant in IB: 21 - 27 years (d) Assistant Enforcement Officer/SI in NIA/Asst Audit Officer : Max : 30 years (e) SI in Central Bureau of Narcotics: 18 - 25 years (f) Tax Assistant CBEC : 20 – 27 Years (g) All Other posts : 18 - 27 years (ii) Educational Qualification: (i) For post of Compiler : Degree from any perceived University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as mandatory or Elective subject. (ii) For post of Statistical Investigator Grade – II : Bachelor's Degree in any subject from a perceived college or organization with no less than 60% in Mathematics at twelfth standard level OR Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level (iii) All different Posts: Degree from a perceived University or comparable. Highlights of SSC CGL 2016 Exam 1) Biggest Change : No Interview for CGL 2016 2) No change in CGL syllabus and Exam Pattern 3) There is No notice that CGL-2016 will be an online Exam. 4) The Post MEA (figure) has been ended 5) For some posts, the upper age utmost is set to 30 years |
