Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts Combined Graduate Level Exam (CGL) Every Year .

Pay Band :

Salary of Tax Assistant(TA) in CBEC is in the pay band 5,200-20,200 with grade pay of Rs. 2,400.


Tax Assistant in CBEC can have three types of postings namely
1. Excise
2. Service Tax
3. Customs

Educational Qualification :

Candidates should have completed Graduation Degree / Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent qualification from a recognised university.

Age Limit :

Candidates age should not exceed 18 – 27 years .

Application Fee :

Candidates (General/OBC) are required to pay Rs. 100/- and Candidates (SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Ser/Women) are to pay Rs. nil/-

Selection Procedure :

All aspiring and eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of their Performance in Written Test and Interview.
