Staff Selection Commission SSC will conduct Combined Higher Secondary Level ( CHSL ) Exam for the recruitment of Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators and Lower Divisional Clerks

Tentatively the vacancies for the post of Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant, LDC and DEO are 3523, 2049 and 1006 respectively.

SSC CHSL Exam eligibility-

Matric from a recognized Board or equivalent

Age

18 to 27 years of age is required

Nationality/Citizenship

A citizen of India or
A subject of Nepal or
A subject of Bhutan
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African, Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Exam Pattern

This type of Staff Selection Exam Paper consists of two steps.

In first step preliminary examination is held.

Those who are able to clear this test are allowed to take the main examination.

Both parts A & B will be of objective type ( multiple choice type) Question paper (Test Booklets) for both the parts in Preliminary Exam will be set in both in English and Hindi.
