State Bank of Hyderabad was constituted as Hyderabad State Bank on 08.08.1941 under Hyderabad State Bank Act, 1941. The Bank began with the novel refinement of being the national bank of the past State of Hyderabad, covering present-day Telangana area of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad-Karnataka of Karnataka and Marathwada of Maharashtra, to deal with its money – Osmania Sikka and open obligation separated from the elements of business managing an account. The primary branch of the Bank was opened at Gunfoundry, Hyderabad on fifth April, 1942.

In 1953, the Bank assumed control over the advantages and liabilities of the Hyderabad Mercantile Bank Ltd. Around the same time, the Bank began leading Government and Treasury business as operator of Reserve Bank of India. In 1956, the Bank was assumed control by Reserve Bank of India as its first backup and its name was changed from Hyderabad State Bank to State Bank of Hyderabad. The Bank turned into an auxiliary of the State Bank of India on the first October 1959 and is currently the biggest Associate Bank of State Bank of India.

A partner of State Bank of India, SBH is approved to direct government business. It has at present leading government business in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra.

SBH has 174 branches in Andhra Pradesh, 24 branches in Karnataka, 43 branches in Maharashtra, 5 branches in Tamilnadu, and 9 branches in Mumbai, which are approved to gather coordinate assessments.

The 197 branches in Andhra Pradesh and 60 branches in Maharashtra are approved to gather Excise and Customs obligations.

There are 131 cash trunks in Andhra Pradesh, 53 money trunks in Karnataka, 30 cash trunks in Maharashtra and one each in Delhi, Chennai, and Mumbai. You can trade any dirty or torn money notes for new cash at these branches. We additionally appropriate coins to people in general in accordance with RBI orders.

All the branches are approved to open records for retired people and dispense annuities
