Re: State Bank of India BG Charges

The details about the BG charges for the Advances Related Service Charges (C&I, SIB and AGL Segments Other than P Segment) for the State Bank of India is as mentioned below:

Inland BG Charges

Performance Guarantees as well as Financial Guarantees

Bare Minimum Commission = Rs. 500/-
Upto Rs.5 cr. = 2.10.% p.a.
Above Rs.5 cr. & upto Rs. 10cr. = 1.60% p.a.
Above Rs.10 cr. = 1.30% p.a.

Inland LCs
Opening Charges

i) LC upto Rs. 5 crores = 2.00% p.a.
ii) From Rs. 5 crores to Rs. 10 crores = 1.90% p.a.
iii)Above Rs. 10 crores = 1.60% p.a.

Bare Minimum Charges 0.60% or Rs. 1,000/- whichever ishigher. (Above charges are inclusive of commitment feesand usance charges)

In reverence of LC and BG Charges, for high value customers (i.e. for all CAG, MCG and as decided by SMEBU for NBG), customer-wise schedule of Service Charges shall be prepared and enclosed to the loan authorize proposal. In other words, there will be a Rate Card for every sanction with company-wise rate to be fixed by the respective Sanctioning Authority.

For LCs as well as BGs with 100% cash margin 25% of the regular charges to be recovered.

For letters of credit recognized through Internet Module of Exim Bills 90% of the regular charges to be recovered.

LC Charges to be recovered at periodical intervals for the actual period of LC liability outstanding in Bank's books, with a bare minimum period of one month. For this purpose, broken days in a month will be treated as full month for revival of commission.
