Some tips to prepare for Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission in MBA Program are as follows: Plan your preparation Time Management Practice mock test papers: Prepare according to the pattern Analyze weak and strong parts Solve old question papers and refer study materia Practice a lot Be focused and keep calm during Exam Focus on strength Read and try the previous CAT pattern question papers, understand the blue print well before starting with the preparations. Start preparing months before the exam, strive hard in the beginning and learn as much as possible. Stop burdening with new concepts in the last time. CAT Syllabus Maths/Quantitative Ability: Number systems, geometry, trigonometry, probability, permutation combination, algebra, time and work, averages, percentages, profit and loss, quadratic and linear equations, etc. Data Interpretation: Interpretation and analysis of data based on text, tables, graphs (line, area), charts (column, bar, pie), diagram, etc. English/Verbal Ability: Reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, syllogisms, analogies, antonyms and synonyms, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, idioms, etc. Logical Reasoning: Clocks, calendars, binary logic, seating arrangement, blood relations, logical sequence, assumption, premise, conclusion, linear and matrix arrangement, etc. Cat Exam Pattern There will be one question paper consisting of 100 questions and the time duration to attempt the paper will be 2hrs and 50 min. The question paper will be divided into two sections each consisting of 50 questions: Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (50 Question) Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (50 Question) |
