Which Subjects to be chosen for IAS
Will you please give me some tips to choose Optional subject in IAS Exam???? UPSC - Union Public Service Commission conducts IAS exams for recruiting people to the Civil Services of the Government of India. There are many subjects available in Optional subjects of IAS Exam so you can take any subject of your own interest in which you have done your graduation/Post Graduation, as it will help you to score well. Things to keep in mind while choosing optional subjects -- -Choose a subject that you have an aptitude for and the one in which you have more than just a passing interest. -Aspirant should be prepared to spend 100s of hours with the chosen subject. -Availability of Resources: Secondly, find out how easily is the study material, guidance, coaching, etc available in a particular optional subject. -Availability of quality guidance makes learning of the subject easy. -Subject Knowledge: Graduation/post-graduation subject should be taken if you are comfortable with it. -Analyse the syllabus in detail -Analyse the last ten years question paper to figure out a subject’s difficulty level -Don’t take a subject just because everyone else is taking it -Science subjects should be handled by people with ONLY science background -Art subjects can be handled by ALL Optional Subject for Science Background to appear in Civil Services (Main) Exam-- List of Optional Subjects – IAS Zoology Medical Science Electrical Engineering Economics Commerce & Accountancy Civil Engineering Chemistry Botany Anthropology Animal Husbandry & Vetinary Science Mechanical Engineering Statistics Sociology Public Administration Psychology Political Science & International Relations Physics Philosophy Mathematics Management Law Indian History Geology Geography Agriculture Last edited by Neelurk; May 16th, 2020 at 10:55 AM. |
