The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi or IITD) is a public research university located in Delhi, India.

About the Internship:

IIT Delhi has instituted Summer Research Fellowship Programme for providing opportunity to exceptionally good students of different engineering institutes except IITs in India or abroad to execute an innovative research and development project under the guidance of an IIT Delhi faculty.

Who can apply:

Only those candidates can apply who:

are available for full time (in-office) internship.
are available for duration of 8 weeks (preferred, not mandatory).
are pursuing any degree but have relevant skills and interest.
are currently in any year of study or are recent graduates.

Other requirements:

Any undergraduate student, except student of IITs, who has completed at least 2 years of study towards an engineering degree and is amongst top ten positions in her/his respective programme.

Duration: Internship Program runs throughout the year in batches:

1) Dec 1 – Dec 31, 2016: 1 month long: Deadline is October 15, 2016
2) Jan 15 – May 15, 2017: 4 months long: Deadline for the same is December 10, 2017
3) May 15 – July 15, 2017: 2 months long: Deadline for the same is March 27, 2017.
4) July 27 – Nov 27, 2017: 4 months long: Deadline for the same is June 30, 2017.
