Hey!!! MICAT (MICA Admission Test) is an entrance examination which is conducted every year by the MICA institute in order to grant aspiring undergraduate applicants admission in different b-schools through CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA or GMAT scores. Topics and Sub-topics of MICAT Syllabus Reasoning and Verbal Ability – Visual Reasoning – Data Sufficiency – Statement-Conclusions – Word Combination General Knowledge – Advertising – Marketing – Film And Media – National Current Affairs – News Presenters – Sports News – Politics – Indian Constitution – Literature – News About Power Sector In India – History – Culture – Geography – Economy – International Affairs – Science & Research Advertising – Marketing – Film And Media – National Current Affairs – News Presenters – Sports News – Politics – Indian Constitution – Sports – Literature – News About Power Sector In India – History – Culture – Geography – Economy – International Affairs – Science & Research Paper Pattern -The examination will be conducted in written format. -The exam consists of 2 phases. -Phase 1 will be subjective which will consist of 4 descriptive questions on writing arguments, story writing and essay writing. -Phase 2 will be divided into 3 parts. Part 1 is a Psychometric Test, Part 2 is reasoning and Verbal Ability and Part 3 will be a General Knowledge section, where applicants will have questions related to latest happenings and news. -The total time duration for both papers combined is 125 minutes. The duration of Paper I is 35 minutes and that of the Paper II is 90 minutes. -Section I will consist of 4 descriptive questions. -The Paper II Section 1 is the Psychometric Test, which includes 30 statements. Reasoning and Verbal Ability has 35 questions and General Knowledge section has 25 questions. Hence, the total number of questions to be asked in the paper is 94. -There is no negative marking for the Section 1 and the Paper 1 of Section II. The Paper 2 and Paper 3 have 25% negative marking in case of wrong answers. |
