Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) exam is conducted by Anna University Chennai on behalf of the Govt. of Tamil Nadu for admission to MBA, MCA & ME/M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan Degree programmes in Tamil Nadu for the year 2016-18.

Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) exam was conducted on 11th June 2016 and the result was declared on 30 June 2016.

TANCET Eligibility Criteria-

Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree exam

Candidates appearing for their final year exam can also apply.

The candidates not having domicile of Tamil Nadu state can also appear for the test, but the eligibility conditions will be stipulated by the admitting authority / University.

Application Fee

To apply for this test, the candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/SCA/ST candidates) to complete the application process.

This fee can be paid in online mode only.

The candidates can pay using Debit/Credit card or via Net Banking.

TANCET MBA Exam Pattern

The candidates got 2 hours to attempt the test.

The question paper had total of 100 questions.

Marking Scheme

For every correct answer marked by the candidate, 1 mark will be awarded.

1/3rd marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer marked by the candidates.

Multiple shading will also be considered as wrong answer and 1/3 mark will be reduced for same.
