Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is an entrance exam conducted every year by Anna University on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Government.

The examination is for the students who want to get admission in M.E. / M. Tech / MBA / MCA / M. Arch / M. Plan Programs offered in Anna University

TANCET Eligibility Criteria
1. For MCA:
Must have passed Bachelors Degree with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST). The applicants should have studied Mathematics as the main subject in their qualify degree

2. For MBA:
Must have passed Bachelor in any stream with a least of 50% marks

3. For M. Tech:
Must have passed Bachelors Degree in Engineering/ Technology in the concerned discipline for which application has been made.
This includes the following main disciplines:

Electronics and Communication,
Information Technology,
Tele Communications,
Computer Science or Software Engineering

4. For M. Plan:
Must have passed Bachelor of Archeology, Bachelor of Planning, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), Master of Science or Master of Arts

5. For M. Arch:
Must have passed Bachelor of Archeology from any AIIA recognized degree colleges/ universities.
