Re: TET entrance exam age limit

TET stands for Teacher Eligibility Test.

TET exam is conducted at state level by various state boards.

Eligibility for TET exam:
Candidate must have passed graduation degree from a recognized university and must have B.Ed degree with at least 55% marks

Age limit:
There is no upper age limit for this exam.

Candidates have to score minimum 60% in the TET to qualify for teaching jobs.

Exam pattern-
There are two papers with objective type questions.

Each paper consists of 150 questions.

These papers are for-
1. Paper I: Those who want to become teachers for classes I-V.

2. Paper II: Those who want to teach classes between VI and VIII.

3. Paper I and II: For those who are interested in teaching from Class I to VIII will have to appear and qualify in both the papers.

Syllabus for TET exam:
There are five subjects in Paper I.

Each subject has 30 objectives multiple choice type questions.

Time duration is one and half hour.

1. Child development and pedagogy
2. Language I
3. Language II
4. Mathematics
5. Environmental studies
