Hi I would like to have information about Department of Physics at Tezpur University as well as the lists of the Faculty of Department of Physics, Tezpur University?

Department of Physics has stridden out in its post-graduation educating as well as in new boondocks of research since its initiation in January 1998. To keep pace with the progression in science and innovation, in July 2005, the division began two-year PG course in Nanoscience and Technology close by its two-year PG course in Physics.

It has begun Integrated M.Sc and in addition B.Sc. B.Ed course. The regions of specialization offered by the office for post-graduation are Condensed Matter Physics, Electronics and Photonics, High Energy Physics, Nanoscience and Technology and Astrophysics.

The Department teaches the spirits of research and can gloat of some great research work did here, the push zones being Nanomaterials, Solid State Ionics, Theoretical High Energy Physics, Plasma Physics, Optoelectronics and Microwaves.

Destinations of the Department

To deliver quality understudies prepared for instructing and research.

To build up the basic foundation for elevated expectations of research in the push range of Material Science.

To create and push forward other boondocks ranges of ebb and flow examine which incorporates Nanoscience, Astrophysics, High Energy Physics, Plasma material science, Photonics and Microwave innovation.

To be a division of "Brilliance" and be incorporated into the main 10 material science bureaus of the nation.
