I want to get the guidelines of Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme of All India Council for Technical Education AICTE so can you tell me?

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is a national-level council for technical education, under Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development.

It was established in November 1945 by an Act of Parliament, AICTE

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme-

Purpose:

The scheme is proposed to provide Tuition Fee Waiver to women, economically backward and physically handicapped meritorious students pursuing degree/diploma level technical education covering degree programmes in Engineering & Technology, HMCT, Pharmacy, Architecture, Applied Arts and Crafts and Diploma Programmes

Eligibility

Sons and daughters of parents whose annual income is less than Rs.2.50 lakhs from all sources shall only be eligible for seats under this scheme

Amount of waiver:

The Waiver is limited to the tuition fee as approved by the State Level Fee Committee for self-financing institutions and by the Government for the Govt. and Govt. Aided Institutions.

All other Fee except tuition fees have to be paid by the beneficiary.

Admission Procedure-

Under this scheme, up to 5% of sanctioned intake per course shall be available for these admissions.

The competent authority to effect these admission is the state Government or its designated Authority.

In the event of non-availability of students in this category the same shall not be given to any other category of applications

State Admission authority shall invite applications under this category, make a separate merit list for this category and effect admissions on the basis of the merit list so generated
