About the department:
Established as a pioneer Molecular Biology Unit in early 1960, the department has expanded to encompass various branches of modern biology. The Department is located in the picturesque Colaba campus of TIFR on the shores of the Arabian Sea in South Mumbai, India.

Courses offered:
Ph.D. degree
A 5-year degree programme for students who have completed their Masters' degree.

Integrated Ph.D. degree
A 6-year degree programme for students who have completed their Bachelors' degree.

M.Sc. degree
A 3-year degree programme for students who have completed their Bachelors' degree.
