The JGEEBILS test is a shared entrance test for graduate programmes in Biology and interdisciplinary life sciences. The test originated from the TIFR annual entrance test for Biology, which was used by DBS/TIFR as well as NCBS/TIFR.

Eligibility Criteria

Masters in Basic Science or Bachelors in Applied Science. These include M.Sc. (Ag), B.Tech, B.E., B.V.Sc. B. Pharma (4 yrs course), MBBS., BDS.

M. Pharma. Students with training in Physics or Chemistry are encouraged to apply to the programmes.
Integrated Ph.D/M.Sc. by Research Programme: Bachelors in any Basic Science.


Syllabus :

There is no specified syllabus and the test will be extremely basic and cover topics in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology.

APPLICATION FEE (Non-refundable): Male applicants – Rs. 600/- for applications submitted online and Rs.650/- for applications sent manually by post. Female applicants – Rs. 100/-
