The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai conducted Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test (TISS NET) 2017 on January 7 for admissions to Masters in Social Work and other 56 related programs across its four main campuses. Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test (TISS NET) 2017 scores are accepted only by TISS Mumbai, Tuljapur, Hyderabad, Guwahati and other campuses. Important Dates for TISSNET 2017 TISSNET Application Begins on September 29, 2016 Last Date of APPLICATION (Online) December 7, 2016 Last Date for receipt of application form by post December 9, 2016 TISSNET Admit Cards will issue on December 26, 2016 TISSNET 2017 Exam January 07, 2017 (Saturday) TISSNET 2017 Result February 10, 2017 (Declared) Pre-Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI) at TISS Mumbai March 10 to 21, 2017 Pre-Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI) at Hyderabad March/April, 2017 Pre-Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI) at Guwahati March/April, 2017 Announcement of Final Selection April 21, 2017 TISSNET 2017 Eligibility Criteria • One with a three years bachelor degree or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 or mandatory 15 years formal education) from a recognised university was eligible to apply. • At the time of applying TISSNET 2017, one studying in three years degree programme should have passed in all the subjects for the first to fourth semesters and one studying in 4 years degree progrmmes should have passed in all the subjects for first to sixth semester. • Final year candidate was also eligible to apply for the test but must complete the under graduation on or before June 10, 2017. TISSNET 2017 Selection Procedure The short listed candidates have to appear in group discussion and personal interview rounds. The final selection of the student will be based on the below-given criteria: Selection Criteria Marks Rounds Marks National Common Written Test 100 marks Pre-Interview Test/GD 50 marks Personal Interview 75 marks Total 225 marks |
