Education qualification :

He has completed his schooling at Velliyampalayam pudur and Government Higher Secondary School, Bhavanisagar, Erode District. After completion of his PUC at Gobi Arts College in 1973, he joined at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore and obtained B.Sc (Agri), M.Sc (Agri) and Ph.D. degrees during 1977, 1979 and 1989 respectively
