Below are the important points pertaining to the TNEA 2016 Seat Allotment:-

Candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of the rank secured by them in the TNEA 2016 merit list.

It is to be noted that the merit list will be prepared based on the marks of XII board.

Candidates need to create all the relevant documents at the time of seat allotment.

It is to be noted that there are seven categories under which the seat will be allotted namely OC, BC, BCM (BC Muslim), MBC & DNC, SC, SCA and ST.

For preparing the merit list, normalisation method is adopted.

In this method, the marks obtained by the student of the other board is equated with the marks obtained by the student of the Tamil Nadu.

Candidates will be called for counselling and seat allotment as per the order in the merit list.

Candidates need to pay an original deposit of Rs. 5,000 (Rs. 1000 for SC/ST/SCA, candidates belonging to the Tamil Nadu) by Cash or demand draft.

TNEA 2016 Counselling Dates & Schedule

Beginning of general counselling: 1st week of July 2016

Counselling for Sports persons: Last week of June 2016

Counselling for the Physically Disabled persons: Last week of June 2016

End of counselling: Last week of July 2016

Qualified candidates will get their counseling letter on their mentioned address in the registration form.

Candidates will allot seat on the basis of their merit list category wise.

Candidates need to bring all documents with them for verification purpose.

Candidates need to reach at the counselling venue on time.
