Applicants should have B.E. degree in Civil Engineering or Civil and Structural Engineering of any University or Institution recognized by the organization, PWD University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grants.

2)Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Water Resourses Organisation, PWD
Applicants should have Pass in Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations under Civil Engineering branch, and should furnish the evidence of having undergone practical training in surveying for a period of not less than one year (or) should have been in service for a period of not less than one year in Public Works Department as Overseer or Junior Engineer (or) should hold the Upper Subordinate or L.C.E. Diploma of the College of Engineering, Guindy or L.C.E. Diploma awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Chennai.

3) Assistant Engineer (Electrical in PWD)
Applicants should have Degree in Electrical/Electronics & Communication Engineering
Applicants should have Passed in Sections A and B of the Institution Examination with Electrical Engineering as a subject

4) Assistant Engineer in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department
Applicants should have B.E in Civil Engineering in university recognized by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grant.
Applicants should have Passed in Sections A and B of the Institution Examination under Civil Engineering branch and he/she should furnish evidence of having undergone practical training in surveying for a period of not less than one year

5) Assistant Engineer (Civil) in Highways Department
Applicants should have B.E in Civil Engineering from any university or institution recognized by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grant.

6) Assistant Inspector of Factories
Applicants should have Degree in Mechanical/
