Re: TOEFL How To Prepare
As you will appear in Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam and asking for preparation tips , so for it I can say only for it you need to know pattern of this exam and practice more and nore its sample paper or each section : Exam patterns The TOEFL iBT test has 4 sections Section 1: Listening Section 2: Structure (Grammar) Section 3: Reading Section 4: Writing 1. Listening Comprehension: Measures the ESL student’s ability to understand North American English. 2. Structure & Written Expression Measures the ESL student’s ability to recognize language appropriate for standard written English. 3. Vocabulary & Reading Comprehension Measures the ESL student’s ability to understand non-technical reading material. 4. Essay Writing Measures the ESL student’s ability to express ideas in standard written English. Scoring: The score range on the TOEFL iBT Test is: 0-120. In other words, the highest possible total score is 120 points. This breaks down in each section as a scaled score: Listening: 0-30, Time: 60-90 minutes Speaking: 0-30, Time: 20 minutes Reading: 0-30, Time: 60-100 minutes Writing: 0-30, Time: 50 minutes TOTAL SCALED SCORE: 0-120. There is no individual section that tests your grammar / sentence structure on the TOEFL iBT test, although grammar / structure is evaluated in your speaking and writing responses. Feedback on your performance for each language skill is provided on the test report. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam practice material |
