The number of Seats in IIM or Indian Institute of Management in Shilong for PGP or Post-Graduate Programme in Management and related courses 2016 are as follows:

IIM Admission 2017

The Indian Institutes of Management conduct the Common Admission Test or CAT for selection of candidates for admission to MBA courses in various IIMs.

After the CAT results are declared, list of shortlisted candidates is published. There are two main stages.
1. IIM Shortlisting on basis of CAT Cut Offs.
2. Written Admission Test (WAT) or Group Discussion (GD).
3. Personal Interview (PI).

The first level is qualifying CAT and clearing the cut off. This is a common test to be taken by all who seek admission in IIMs. The IIM admission seekers must appear in CAT.

The next level consisting of WAT/GD, PI and shortlisting is done by individual IIMs. Each IIM publishes its separate criteria and details.

The dates of GD/WAT and PI are fixed in accordance of each IIM and candidates are intimated accordingly.

Weightage is given to each stage and final score calculated accordingly. Factors important for high score in IIM Selection Criteria 2017:

1. CAT exam score.
2. Class 10th marks.
3. Class 12th marks.
4. Bachelor’s degree marks.
5. Work experience.
6. Gender diversity.
