South India is a region in the southern part of India. It includes the states Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Southern region speak one of the Dravidian languages: Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Tulu.

This part of India has enormous beaches, water falls, forests, lakes, backwaters, Wild Life Sanctuary etc.

The famous cities in this region are Hyderabad and its twin city Secunderabad, Mysore, Bangalore (Bengaluru), Kochi (Cochin), Trivandrum (Thiruvananthpuram), Chennai (Madras), Kanyakumari (Nagercoil)etc.

Some of the famous hill stations in this region are Kodaikanal, Ooty (Ootacamund), Munnar etc.
