Salary of Train Driver in Indian Railways

According to the recruitment rule, newly joining employee will be assigned post as assistant loco pilot in goods train.
Salary will be calculated as per basic pay, DA, TA, Medical allowance, HRA.
As per your place of posting salary will differs a slide.
Because of HRA and TA is different as per city location.

As per 6th pay commission salary of loco pilot In Indian railways will be approx. 25000 per month.

Pay Scale – Rs. 5200 to Rs. 20200
Grade Pay – Rs. 1900
Initial Pay – Rs. 5830
Total Pay – Rs. 7730

Plus this, DA of 119% on basic salary is added, transport allowance HRA and running allowance.
This way gross salary will be calculated.

Senior loco pilot will be paid 55000 to 60000 per month
If you are doing job as a train driver in goods train / loco pilot in goods train then overtime will be paid 1.5 times of your basic scale per hour
