Turkey Embassy was established on 16th April 1979. The Turkish Government decided to establish a diplomatic mission in Abu Dhabi.

Turkish Consulate General in Dubai, UAE was established on 15th June 1987.

The Consulate is responsible not only for Dubai, but also for the other five northern emirates, namely Sharjah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman.

Office of the Military Attaché in Abu Dhabi was established in 1999; while the Office of the Commercial Counsellor opened in April 2007.
