UGC National Eligibility Test for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship
What is the eligibility criteria for UGC National Eligibility Test for Junior Research Fellowship and for Lectureship? UGC National Eligibility Test for Junior Research Fellowship and for Lectureship is conducted by UGC on yearly basis . UGC National Eligibility Test (NET): Age limit and relaxation For JRF (NET): Maximum 28 years . Upper age limit may be relaxed as : Up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ Physically Handicapped/Visually Handicapped and Female applicants. For LS (NET): No upper age limit Education Qualification: Candidate must have master degree in relevant subject with minimum of 55% marks in aggregate for general category students . Relaxation given as per the government rules. UGC NET Exam Pattern: Eligibility test includes 3 papers which contains objective type questions. 1st and 2nd paper will be of 1 ¼ hours 3rd paper will be of 2 ½ hours. Paper-I & II will be of 100 marks Paper-III will be of 150 marks. In Paper-I 50 outs of 60 questions should be attempted In Paper-II all 50 questions mandatory . In Paper-III all 75 questions mandatory.
