The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) conducts NET (National Eligibility Test) two times in a year. CBSE conducts this examination at national level to get eligible candidates for Assistant Professor or for both Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent scoring minimum 55% (without rounding off) from any university.

The candidates who have already qualified OR will qualify Master’s degree OR whose results are still awaited OR the examination has been postponed (whichever may be the case) are also eligible to apply for CBSE NET.

The Ph.D holder candidates who have completed their Master’s degree by 19th September 1991 are eligible to get 5% relaxation in the aggregate score.

Application fee

The candidates who belongs to General category have to pay Rs. 600/- as application fee.
The candidates who belongs to OBC category have to pay Rs. 300/- as application fee.
The candidates who belongs to SC/ST/PWD category have to pay Rs. 150/- as application fee.
