After announcing the result of NET exam, which is taken for appointing lecturer in colleges, in June the UGC changed the eligibility criteria for NET exam.
As per the new rules general category candidates needs to score 65% for all three of the NET's papers to be eligible for
university lectureship and OBC category needs to score 60 % and SC/ST category needs to score 55%.
