The University Institute of Technology RGPV is a public institution located in Bhopal, India. The institution was established by the government of Madhya Pradesh with the name Government Engineering College (GEC).

The Institution was established in the year 1986, by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, as the Government Engineering College (GEC), Bhopal.

It is an autonomous institution as of 2010.
