Re: Unit Trust Of India Children's Gift Growth Fund

The UTI Children's Gift Growth Fund Scheme is aimed at making investments for a child who is less than 15 years of age and it matures when the child reaches the age of 21, with an option to withdraw at the age of 18.

Under this scheme, there is an assured dividend of 12.5 per cent per annum, and the dividend is reinvested automatically in units at the prevailing price of the units in July, so that the gift grows at a compounded rate.

Also, the scheme gives a bonus dividend every 5 years which is also reinvested.

Under the scheme, the money doubles in 6 years, and 12 times the original value in 21 years.

The scheme is closed for fresh investments since October, 1997
