Hi tiya as you are asking about the Leadership Alliance program at University Of Chicago, so I am providing the information you required.

The Leadership Alliance program was established in 1992 to increase the participation of underrepresented minority groups in higher levels of education and research

Summer Research Early Identification Program (SR-EIP) is offered by The Leadership Alliances, it offers undergraduates to prepare for PhD or MD/PhD the opportunity to work for eight to ten weeks under the guidance of a faculty or research.
