As you want to get the details of University of Delhi entrance exam pattern of MA English so here it is for you: Entrance exam pattern: -Entrance test is conducted for 90 minutes and is designed to evaluate candidate’s proficiency in English Language. -There will be three sections for the entrance test. -First section comprises objective model questions of 60 marks. -Second section will be based on a passage of prose or verse and include questions for 20 marks. -Third section includes a short essay model question (based on a general literary topic). -This section also carries 20 to make a total of 100 marks for the whole test. -Admissions are done on the priority basis of marks obtained in the entrance test. Eligibility Criteria: Candidates can get admission by 2 methods that is direct and entrance test Direct admission: Candidates who have passed B.A Honours degree in English from the University of Delhi with minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying examination. Reserved category candidates like OBC/SC/ST/PwD need to have 55% marks only. Entrance test: -It will be conducted for those candidates having completed B.A Honours in (English) from Delhi University with a minimum of 45% marks. -Reserved category candidates with less mark can also seek admission on the basis of entrance exam. -OBC candidates need to have at least 40.5% marks in the qualifying examination where as physically disabled ones needs to hold 40% marks only. -In case of SC/ST candidates, mere pass in B.A Honours degree (in English) is enough to apply for the entrance test. Candidates who are from other universities are also eligible to apply In that situation candidates need to have minimum of 50% marks in qualifying degree (45% marks for OBC). SC/ST category candidates, require mere pass in the qualifying examination to appear for the entrance test.
