In Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC), there will be about 15000 vacancies in the upcoming annual planner.

TNPSC has informed that 70 % of the postings were received from the various departments and the remaining posts also expected to be received with in the first week of January 2017.

TNPSC VAO Exam Eligibility

Must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies.

Age:-

SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and DWs of all castes-

Minimum Age (Should have completed):- 21 Years
Maximum Age:- 40 Years

“Others” [i.e. Candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs and BCMs]-

Minimum Age (Should have completed):- 21 Years
Maximum Age:- 30 Years

Knowledge Of Tamil:- Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil.

TNPSC VAO Exam Pattern:-

TNPSC VAO exam will consist of a single paper with the following subjects of SSC standard

General studies - (75 items)
+
Basics of Village Administration (25 items)
+
Aptitude & Mental Ability Test (20 items)
+
General Tamil / General English (80 items)

Total - (200 items)

Duration of Examination:- 3 Hours

Maximum Marks:- 300

Minimum Qualifying Marks for selection:- 90

Two types of question papers will be set.

Type-1 General Studies + General Tamil will contain questions on General Studies (75 items), Basics of Village Administration (25 items), Aptitude & Mental Ability Test (20 items) and General Tamil (80 items).

Type-2 (General Studies + General English) will contain questions on General Studies (75 items), Basics of Village Administration (25 items), Aptitude & Mental Ability Test (20 items) and General English (80 items).
