As you want to know the Eligibility Criteria of UPSC CAPF exam as under: About Union Public Service Commission Conducts the examination for recruiting eligible candidates for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) Eligibility Criteria Nationality As per this criterion, a candidate must be one of the following- A subject of Nepal; A person of Indian Origin who previously lived in Indian sub-continent or in East Africa and has now come to India for permanent settlement; A person belonging to the family of a Tibetan Refugee. However, they should have come to India before 1.1.1962; A subject of Bhutan A citizen of India. Age Limit Age of the candidates should be in between 20 years to 25 years Nevertheless, there is certain age relaxations for certain reserved group. They are: Category Age Relaxation OBC 3 years Ex- Servicemen 5 years SC or ST 5 years Educational qualification Candidates are required to have a minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in any stream, but the same should come from a recognized institute. Physical Fitness The most important eligibility criterion is in terms of having a physically fit body. This exam also includes a test where a candidate’s physical fitness is measured in terms of his efficiency. Candidates who make it to the last round are expected to offer a good performance in this area. |
