Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Exam is Conducted by the UPSC Every year.

The exam will be Conducted for the post of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the forces comprising of the Border Security Force (BSF), the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

The exam Consists of 2 papers:

Paper I (Objective) is General Ability and Intelligence
Total marks: 250

Paper II (Conventional) is General Studies, Essay and Comprehension
Total marks: 200

UPSC Central Police Force (AC) Exam Syllabus

Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence

The objective type questions with multiple choices in this paper will broadly cover The following areas:

General Mental Ability
Logical Reasoning
Quantative Aptitude
Verbal Reasoning
Numerical Ability
Data Interpretation

Current Events of National and International Importance

The questions will test the candidates’ awareness of current events of national and international importance in the broad areas of culture, music, arts, literature, Sports, governance, societal and developmental issues, industry, business, Globalisation, and interplay among nations.

Indian and World Geography

The questions shall cover the physical, social and economic aspects of Geography pertaining to India and the World.
