UPSC Geologist Exam eligibility
I want to appear in Union Public Service Commission Geologist Exam . Will you please provide the information regarding the eligibility required ? Geologist Exam is conducted by UPSC for recruitment to the following two category of posts: Category I Geologist (Junior), Group A Assistant Geologist, Group B in the Geological Survey of India. Category II Group B in the Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) at selected centres in India. Jr. Hydrogeologist, Group A Assistant Hydrogeologist, Eligibility Criteria : A candidate must be an Indian . Applicants must have obtained a Master's degree in Geology or Marine Geology or Applied Geology or Mineral Exploration or Hydrology from a recognized University or Applicants must have obtained a Diploma of Associate ship in Applied Geology of Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad or Applicants must have obtained a Master's degree in Mineral exploration from a recognized university (for posts in GSI); or Applicants must have obtained a Master's degree in Hydrogeology from a recgonized university (for posts in CGWB) Applicants must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years Exam Pattern: Geologists written exam consists of 5 papers Subject Maximum Marks (i)General English 100 (ii)Geology Paper – I 200 (iii)Geology Paper – II 200 (iv)Geology Paper – III 200 (v) Hydrogeology 200 Total marks 900 Important Dates : Date of Notification--7th Feb, 2015 Last Date of Filling of Application Form --6th Mar, 2015 Date of Exam---23rd May, 2015 (Saturday) Last edited by Neelurk; June 19th, 2020 at 09:05 AM. |
