Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the national level Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS Exam). This exam is held annually for recruitment of medical officers into various government agencies.

Eligibility:
The applicant should hold M.B.B.S Degree (completed both written and practical sections) although final year students may also apply provisionally.

Age - limits:
Below 32 years on 1st January of the year of Examination

Paper pattern:

Paper I
General Ability: 30 Questions
General Medicine: 70 Questions
Pediatrics: 20 Questions

Paper II
Surgery: 40 Questions
Gynecology and Obstetrics: 40 Questions
Preventive and Social Medicine: 40 Questions
