Re: UPSC Upper Age Limit
The Union Public Service Commission is an organisation that works under the government of India to recruit staff for various posts in various ministries and departments, and in subordinate offices. Union Public Service Commission is going to revise the upper age limit for the prestigious Civil Services Examination (CSE). The commission may reduce the upper age limit to 26, as per ET. The lower limit for the marquee exam is fixed at 21 years, while the upper limit is 32 years for general category candidates. No reduction in upper age limit has been prescribed for SC/ST candidates from the current 37 years. Age limit: Category Upper Age Limit No. of Attempts Allowed General 32 Years 06 Attempts OBC 32 Years with relaxation of 03 years = 35 years 09 Attempts SC/ST 32 Years with relaxation of 05 Years = 37 years Till the Upper Age limit Physically disabled candidates (Blind, Deaf-Mute, Orthopedic) 32 years with relaxation of 10 years = 42 years For the General and OBC Candidates= 09 attempts For SC/ST Candidates = Unlimited till age limit Jammu & Kashmir Domicile General = 37 years, OBC = 40 Years, SC/ST = 42 Years, PH = 50 years Up to the Upper Age limit Disabled servicemen disabled from duty General= 37 years OBC = 38 Years SC/ST = 40 Years Up to the Upper Age limit |
