Can you tell me about the eligibility criteria required to apply for Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) for admission in UPTU, now Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow?

The UPTU, now Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow conducts UPSEE (UP State Entrance Examination) to get admission in engineering, management, architecture, pharmacy and many other programs. Courses Offered 1st year in- B. Arch/ BHMCT/ BFA/ MBA/ MAM/ B. Tech/ B. Pharm/ BFAD/ MCA 2nd year in- B. Pharm/ B. Tech/ MCA (lateral entry) Eligibility Criteria B. Tech & B. Pharm: One should have cleared UP Board higher secondary or equivalent from a recognized board/university. One should have scored minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST) without grace in required each mandatory subjects & one optional subject taken together. B. Arch: One should have cleared higher secondary UP Board examination or equivalent from a recognized board/university. One having 3 years Diploma in Architecture recognized by Central/State Govt are also eligible to apply for UPSEE. One should have scored minimum 50% without grace in each mandatory and optional subject. BHMCT/ BFAD/ BFA: One should have cleared higher secondary UP Board exam or equivalent from a recognized university/board. One should have scored minimum 45% without grace (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate. Examination pattern It has MCQ type questions (except drawing test as part B of paper IV for Architecture program). There will be different total marks for each paper- paper I, II & III carries 600 marks/ paper IV carries 500 marks/ paper V, VI, VII & VIII carries 300 marks/ paper IX, X, XI & XII carries 400 marks. One is awarded with 4 marks for each correct answer and there will not be any negative marking. For UG courses all the papers will be scheduled in an offline mode in MCQ format. All the papers will be bilingual (in Hindi & English), except part A of paper IV. On the other hand, for PG courses all the papers will be scheduled in an online mode in MCQ format. |
