Use Of Calculator In CAT Exam
Hi I want to appear for the CAT exam so I need to know that is the calculator allowed in the CAT exam so I can have an idea for the same and also tell me some tips to use the calculator?? Well the Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based selection test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for their business administration programs. This year has been no exception, owing to the introduction of on screen calculator along with a host of other changes. In a first, IIMs have decided to introduce an on screen calculator for carrying out basic computations, which is a pleasant surprise for the students who are not too well versed with calculation. Tips To Use the Calculator Use the calculator on your computer screen while taking mock tests or test series. Since you will get a basic calculator, solve Arithmetic and Data Interpretation questions. If you are to calculate the 30% of 60, rather than dividing 60 by 100 and multiplying with 30, simply multiply 60 and 30 which is 1800 and remove the 100s, If you are comfortable with your calculation skills, ensure the accuracy during revision by checking the answers with calculator Deadlines To Apply CAT Sample Paper Released for Students October 18, 2016 Final Date to Release CAT Admit Card From October 24, 2016, 01:00 pm onwards Exam Date for All the Sessions December 04, 2016 Tentative Date for the Declaration of CAT Result Mid of January 2017 Last edited by Neelurk; March 11th, 2020 at 08:55 AM. |
