Well the Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based selection test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for their business administration programs.


This year has been no exception, owing to the introduction of on screen calculator along with a host of other changes.

In a first, IIMs have decided to introduce an on screen calculator for carrying out basic computations, which is a pleasant surprise for the students who are not too well versed with calculation.

Tips To Use the Calculator

Use the calculator on your computer screen while taking mock tests or test series.

Since you will get a basic calculator, solve Arithmetic and Data Interpretation questions.

If you are to calculate the 30% of 60, rather than dividing 60 by 100 and multiplying with 30, simply multiply 60 and 30 which is 1800 and remove the 100s,


If you are comfortable with your calculation skills, ensure the accuracy during revision by checking the answers with calculator
