UTC time format
What are UTC and GMT time formats? Please give me details about these in brief. Hello my friend, the UTC stands for the Coordinated Universal Time. Prior to 1972, this time was called Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) but is now referred to as Coordinated Universal Time or Universal Time Coordinated (UTC). The UTC was officially formalized in 1963 by the International radio consultative comity. The current version of UTC is defined by ITU - R TF.46 and is based on TAI (International Atomic Time) with leap seconds added at irregular intervals to compensate for the slowing of Earth's rotation. Uses: It is a slandered for the WWW and the internet protocols. Examples: 1994-11-05T08:15:30-05:00 corresponds to November 5, 1994, 8:15:30 am, US Eastern Standard Time. 1994-11-05T13:15:30Z corresponds to the same instant.
