Can you provide me the brief Admission information for PG courses in Utkal University in BBSR or Bhubaneswar, Odisha as I am planning to apply for a PG course in it?

Utkal University was established in 1943 and is a teaching-cum-affiliating university. There are at present 27 masters departments at the university campus for studies and research in various disciplines of Science, Humanities, Business administration, Social science, Law, and Commerce.

Important Dates 2016

a) Availability of PG application forms upto 7 June 2016.
b) Last date for submission of filled in PG application form: 7 June 2016
c) Entrance Tests for different PG courses: 19 – 28 June 2016.
d) Availability of M.Phil / pre-Ph.D application forms upto 15 July 2016.
e) Last date for submission of filled in M.Phil / pre-Ph.D application form: 15 July 2016
f) Entrance Tests for different M.Phil / pre-Ph.D courses: 22-23 July 2016

Documents Requirements for Admission

Documents to be submitted with the hard copy of the filled in application form. Self-certified copies of the following are required:

a. An application fee of Rs. 600, Rs.1000, Rs.1500 only for PG, M.Phil and pre-PhD course work respectively in the form of DD / BC

b. Mark sheets and Certificates of all exams.

c. C.L.C. and Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended.

d SC/ST Certificate from the competent authority (MP / MLA / Collector / ADM / SDO / Local Gazetted Revenue Officer not below the rank of Deputy Collector or Tahasildar) by candidates of those categories.

e. PH certificate physically challenged students and ID card issued by District Welfare Officer / Community Development Officer / Social Welfare Department of State Government) by the physically challenged candidates.

f. Sports and Games Certificate of participation are required for quota and special weightage consideration, from the competent Authority (Director of Sports / Sports Council of the Utkal University) countersigned by the Principal / HOD of the college / department by the candidates interested to apply under the said category.

g. Certificate is produced from the Rajya / Zilla Sainik Board by one interested to apply under Ex/In-service quota.

h. Original application fee e-receipt.

i. 3 passport size photographs.

j. Migration Certificate, if the candidate is not from Utkal University.
